Completely Frozen

i have an 8gb and was updating my zune to 3.1 usually it doesnt take too long but i left for at least two hours and came back to findthat my comp screen still said updating but my zune screen was completly black. i tried to scrool to bring up the usual please wait screen but it didnt come up i waited another couple of hours but nothing changed so i unplugged my zune from my comp and tried to restart it by pressing up and the back button but nothing works my screen is lit up but black and i have no idea whats wrong.please help.....

Do the buttons combos to re-install the Zune software by erasing the current broken install
