Zune Software Hidden Features :)

I was looking around zune sceane forums and i found this http://www.zunescene.com/forums/index.php?topic=6079.0
I went and talked to the guy and he told me the instruction on how he did it.

First download resource Hacker.http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/

Next start up Resource hacker and open Zune.exe (zune software)

After that go to open again and open zuneloc.dll

Then go to the Dialog

You will see a bunch of numbers!

Go to 21405 (lyrics sync)




That mean Microsoft have some hidden features in the Software!! If only they would eneable them

I saw that over there - and couldn't believe how they ripped up that guy who was posting what he'd found about the DLL. Doesn't seem like a friendly place.

Anyway I think this is VERY intriguing and the DLLs probably do indicate that podcasting and lyrics displays are coming soon to a Zune near you!!

That was just a flamer or someone in a bad mood I think.

The DLLs in Zune Software are really intriguing though:

- There's a DLL placeholder for podcasting already in the Zune software.

- and for lyrics display on the Zune player

- and for a mini-mode where the player can be quickly accessed and controlled while it's minimized in the task bar.

Not to drag this thing too far off topic, but I've visited that site a bit and it appears to be run by a bunch of kids. The average age of the forum members is 12 (no kidding, saw it in a forum poll) and they seem to delight in abusing each other for it's own sake.

Back on topic I find all these little discoveries fascinating. Most of the comments I've seen from the Zune devs are extremely encouraging. Especially the one I read recently where they said they are cognizant of not leaving the early adopters like us behind and feeding us all the new features possible to keep us in step with future revisions of both the player and software.

Hey guys, Im no hacker but this: "21045 contains lyrics sync menu"  I think is already added to the software. If you right lick on a song, click edit track info, and then click the Lyrics tab.. here you can add lyrics.....Am I right or is this something different?

Im not sure if its the same or not. It looks similar but the one i found as you can see in the pic has an extra button. I was using wmp11 today and noticed some of the menus for it are the same thing that was in the zuneloc.dll There might be a way to replace the zune dlls with wmp ones to add some other features.

Forgive me for being a rookie, but does that mean lyrics will display NOW, as the song is playing? 

I also noticed that when I R-clicked a song in the Zune software, then clicked Edit Track Info, there's a tab for lyrics.  Is this so it'll play in them if I play a song in Zune?

The lyrics function does not work correctly yet, but in a Zune future maybe
