I would already have the current Zune if it could be used as a Portable Hard Drive.  The hack is nice, but I want official support so I can plug it into any Windows PC and have it be recognized as a USB Hard Drive.

For Zune 2, I would say bigger hard drive and maybe thinner body.  But for updates to the present Zune I would say more format capabilities (as in syncing mp4, avi,...) and portable hard drive usage, since these could be accomplished via firmware update.

If Microsoft wants to sell more zunes, they must add some great features to the new zune to convince more people to buy one.

File formats are the biggest thing for me.  I hate just sitting and waiting for the zune software to convert all my videos from mp4 to wmv.

A bigger HD would be nice too. And if the price stayed the same I would definitely buy it.  Also if it was a bit thiner.

It needs more capacity in a smaller size.  People are constantly looking for smaller and smaller products that still give them the full capabilities of the predecessors.

Wireless syncing would be pretty helpful too.

Wireless syncing and a thinner body would make the Zune more of a competitor to the ipod.

It would be great if it had touchscreen but lets be realistic here it will have bigger hard drive and maybe let you wireless connect to the marketplace to purchase/download songs.  The most important thing here is that Microsoft needs to have video in the marketplace before they decide to sell a 2nd gen zune or else it won't sell.

Wireless syncing & download and Use as a portable hardrive are firmware related items that does not require v2 hardware.  I'll be very disappointed if I have to wait till v2 hardware to see any significant software/firmware upgrades to my current player.

i put Portable Hard Drive, because that'll open up the Zune, making it easier to hack for things like RockBox.
