This was just posted on zunescene. Listening to it made me embarrassingly giddy..... On CNET.com MP3 Insider Link: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-12519_7-6508253-1.html?tag=dir Jasmine France and Donald Bell (Cnet.com MP3 Senior Editors) recieved the new zunes and loved them!!! On thier podcast they talked about it's features and software for 15 minutes on a MP3 Weekly Podcast. What is really impressive is that Donald Bell who wasn't orignially thrilled with the zune likes it as much as the ipod classic and maybee even better! Wow! Check out this weeks podcast at http://podcast-files.cnet.com/podcast/cnet_mp3insider_110607.mp3or go to the link above to see what they said before today. Thanks to King Zune Muffin

Yeah I just heard this. One feature we haven't heard of is being able to unsubcribe podcasts from your Zune!

yeah, that is nice that we can unsubscribe podcasts from your Zune. Why they almost couldn't stop talking about how good the new zune software is, lol. At the end of the review they had to make up stuff that could go wrong when they give the real review, lol. This is a very good sign I cant wait for other reviews, and also what the Ifanboy are going to say to bad mouth the zune

I listened to an older one, and wow they suck. They had no idea what was going with the Zune. They thought it was only 2.8in screen, and the guy was "sure" that it was the same size as the 30.
These guys are "insiders"? They are really uninformed. The podcast was about a week after the zune 2 details were released.
Listening to the newest one right now, hopefully, something interesting pops up.

Ok, just finished listening to the new one. I'll admit this one is much better, as they actually have tons of impressions on the new Zunes, and go in depth about somethings.
Here's my summary of their podcast.
zune pad very well done, has just enough sensitivity, can skip songs by swiping across, touch can be disabled. center button although hard to see, easy to press because pad is bowl shaped. they really liked how the pad worked with the new interface.
album artwork well done, clear, big. if artwork not on file, defaults to picture you define.
podcasts deeply supported. can unsubscribe from the zune itself.
colors on the zune 4/8 are distinctive, insiders liked them. they think red is very luscious, green a great color.
rating system has a heart, no heart, and broken heart. so basically a 3 star system. love/like/hate. if you rate songs with a broken heart, then on the next sync, it won't automically delete the songs from the zune player, but it will pop up a message and ask if you if you don't want the song on the zune player anymore.
zune software on the computer will store multiple zunes. so for example you can drag certain albums to a specific zune. the next time that specific zune syncs with the software, it'll get those albums.
the wifi sync also well done.
the new zune software is really well done, really clean, really nice. one of the insider's jaws dropped after seeing the new software in action. super different, super clean. works with xp and vista. they recommend people to at least check out the software. they keep on emphasizing how well done it is. lots of stuff done in the background, like transcoding. wireless keys entered automatically on zune player, if already entered on software. different color zunes actually have different colors on the software too. they acutally imply that they wish other mp3 players would work with the software.

If CNET can, why not Zunerama. C'mon... Everybody here loves a sneak peek... You can "hide" the points that are in violation to the NDA.

Finally a couple more CNET editors that like the Zune. James Kim was the only CNET editor that gave the first gen Zune any love, but unfortunately he past away and he got a lot heat by Ipod fanboys who were CNET members for showing love to Zune because they thought he was an Ipod hater and just would not admit it. In fact he would get posts on CNET forums/blogs about this issue. CNET Ipod lovers thought he was being biased with his Zune review and hated his comments about iPod flaws/issues in CNET podcasts.

CNET specializes in reviewing technology and have a bigger reputation than Zunerama. Microsoft would probably trust CNET more with early reviews than blog/fan sites. BTW this is just a podcast and they probably won't spill out too much info until they have actually done the full editorial and video review.

It took all my will power not to reach out, and slap said person silly for being absolutely stupid by comparing apples with oranges.
