I just bought a new Zune flash player at a local retail store. I was pretty excited to get it home and loaded with music. Here's the catch: IT WON'T WORK UNTIL TUESDAYIf you select any menu it says "To start, visit www.zune.net/setup -- OK" Under settings it says Version 2.0 (799) Boatloader 799 Xldr 2.0.799.0 So it seems like you have to wait until Tuesday for the Firmware.  |

Um, you were not supposed to have had one sold to you until Tuesday. Blame the store that cant follow simple directions on when to sell them. That is assuming that you actually bought one for real.  |

Use the cd to install the software that is all. Then it will recognize it and do whatever it has to do to get it working. Does it even come with a cd? How about some pictures, we have had quite a bit of fakes here.

 Yea, Yea... I just have a bunch of time to make stuff up... Here is a pic of my Zune and packaging. It really doesn't work. There is no CD. No need to run out and find one before launch since it won't work. |

Just out of curiosity, where did you get it? I was in Best Buy today & asked if they'd have them on Tuesday, and the salesman said just the 4 & 8 gig models and that the 80 gig would be out at thanksgiving. I saw a 3-page spread in ESPN magazine today & it said "available starting 11-13-07" Anybody hear anything about a staggered release?

Good ol' Zune Team. They knew that the retail locations would slip up so they made sure that unless you were authorized to have one before launch buying one wasn't going to do u any good. I love these guys... They think of everything.

Awesome, and ask for pics was not to make you feel not welcomed but there is a lot of trolls that come and say they got updates or something so it is just best to be safe than sorry. |
