THIS APPEARS TO WORK WITH THE NEW 2.3 SOFTWARE

Announcing the availability of ZSM-DarkTheme.  This simple point-n-click tool will modify your Zune Software to look like the screenshots. (background images and font colors) I make liberal use of orange and magenta text... it not only goes with the Zune logo, the colors really stand out.

Just read the README file and follow the steps... all the steps are easy to follow and simply drag-n-drop or mouse button clicks.  It is completely and totally reversible.

Hey that's cool! It really is reminiscent of the first-gen software color theme.

Glad you guys are diggin' it.  I really appreciate the feedback.  There's a few aspects of the theme that can use improvement (there are still some light backgrounds popping up in various places).  I'll try to track them down and release an update.

Hey this is a real nice theme.  Your idea and reasons for these colors are on point.

I was never a fan of the white movement (thanks ipoo).  I welcome this new dark theme.
I am curious to know about the light backgrounds you get in various places.  Are you referring to the white background around the album art or the photo pictures?  Also the column tops (#artists, #albums, #songs) ?

There are some pop-up dialogs that still show a light background.  But yes, the column tops are also one of them.

I just uploaded a minor update.  This darkens the column headings (the area that says "sort A/Z") and darkens the pop up dialog boxes (like the login to zune.net).  Just redownload it from the link at the top of this thread.

Is there any way to keep the colors of the fonts but have my own custom background. I use mostly dark backgrounds. (I have a mod to use custom background) And currently I can hardly see the fonts when using dark backgrounds so I'm pretty much forced to use other backgrounds.

Do you want to use the font color scheme from DarkTheme but use your own background?
