Review: Incipio's Kickstand Case for Zune 80GB
Today we're looking at Incipio's Kickstand case for the Zune 80GB player. This well-made case offers a premium look, quality construction, and a design that makes a convenience of hands-free video watching.
All of that, for 25 clams or less, earns this case our Recommended by Zunerama rating. Read on for the full review.
Packaging. The Kickstand is boxed in Incipio's packaging shown below.
The case offers attractive protection for the Zune 80GB player, with smooth, sheeny leather exterior, and microsuede cushioning on the inside. Stitching is even and tight.
The case is open at the top, leaving unhindered access to the headphone jack and the hold switch.
The sync cable can be accessed through the bottom of the case.
A clear shield protects the screen, while an opening below provides direct access to the touch pad and the player's Back and Play/Pause buttons.
The case makes it own easel, allowing you to set the viewing angle for watching videos or pictures with the player propped up horizontally.
Small, strong magnets embedded in the case keep the kickstand case closed. I stuck on the paper clips just to show where the magnets are embedded.
The Incipio Kickstand is a well-designed case that feels good to the hand and looks sharp. It's a nice solution for the Zune 80, particularly if you use your player for watching movies and/or slideshows.
